Stunning views and a cozy hobbit hut made for a magical stay. The shower blocks, although needing improvement, eventually provided hot water for a refreshing shower. The restaurant served incredible, locally sourced food at great value. I'll definitely recommend this hotel for a unique and memorable experience.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Wheal Tor for a short getaway. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. The views from the hotel were absolutely stunning, and I couldn't get enough of them. The cozy atmosphere with warm fires in the bar area was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. And let's not forget the steak - it was truly amazing! The delicious food and friendly atmosphere made this my go-to place to visit. I highly recommend Wheal Tor Hotel & Glamping for a memorable stay.

Very welcoming hosts, Knowledgeable of area, incl history of mining long ago. Room and facilities adequate, food good, entertained by local musicians in evening....no complaints at all.

The Wheal Tor was excellent value for money. Staff very friendly, and helpful. It isn't 5* or anything like that but was clean and comfortable, really good food.

The food was excellent, worth the wait, and sourced from local ingredients. The views of the surrounding countryside were beautiful. The location was ideal for walks on the moor and exploring the area.
The accommodation was in need of improvement, with windows that didn't fit properly and allowed cold air in. The building's appearance was unkempt and in need of maintenance.

Cute, warm huts with BBQs, great for families. Good food, though prices a bit high. Fantastic jacuzzi, friendly staff. Wonderful location, magical with roaming animals. Recommended for a chilled out holiday.

We loved the friendly welcome, The food, although not gourmet, was all home cooked and delicious. The location is in the heart of Bodmin moor and you could spend days walking the area alone, without the rest of Cornwall which is in easy reach from Wheal Tor
There is nothing we disliked. The owners are new and are doing a great job of trying to find out what appeals to local customers and new visitors.

The location offers beautiful views and is conveniently located near town and the coast. The glamping pods are warm and cosy, with comfortable beds and amazing wildlife. The showers and toilets are kept clean and tidy, and the staff are friendly. There are also great walks around the area and excellent home-cooked food in the pub. The price is reasonable for the basic glamping experience.
The interior decor of the pub and menu lists could use updating, as it almost put us off choosing to eat there, although the food turned out to be amazing.

We stayed in a deluxe room which was nicely furnished and spacious making our five day stay extremely pleasant. The central position of the hotel made it perfect as a base from which to visit National Trust properties and the many excellent gardens in the area including the Eden Project. Thank you Mark and Max for making our stay a pleasure.
